A difficult decision taken this summer

In October 30th I'll leave my job for three years minimum. A couple of months ago I talked with Jesus G. Barahona about some Ph.D. scholarships that he offered at his university department and a few weeks later, he offered me to return to the University, converting me again in a student. From October 1th, I will be a member of GSYC (Grupo de Sistemas y Comunicaciones) of Rey Juan Carlos university. I will investigate in free software topics, with known people in this little world.

To abandon my actual job was a difficult decision. It was not a very creative work, but I had very good friends there. So, to avoid missing their friendship, I will need frecuently call or write them. First, I will write them about this blog: by reading it they will remember me and they will know what I'm doing.

YABB (Yet Another Boring Blog)

Estimado lector de Blogs: Soy Juanjo Amor. Hace unos meses intenté mantener, en medio de una crisis personal, un diario electrónico. Éste se encuentra "perdido" en la Red, intencionadamente ilocalizable y por tanto, que nunca encontrarás en Google. Pero seguirá ahí porque, probablemente, un día querré dar su URL a una persona.

Finalmente, he decidido crear otro Blog, que sea público, y así parecerme un poco a los geeks (aunque aun no he hecho cálculos). Y aquí está. He intentado llamarlo YABB pero su URL ya estaba ocupada, así que me conformaré con llamarlo de la forma que ves ahora mismo. Bienvenido: ya puedes cerrar tu navegador ;-)

En este diario alternaré las historias redactadas en inglés y en español. Espero que la mayoría sean en inglés pues eso demostrará que me estoy currando el estudio del idioma de cara a mi doctorado. Aun así, cuando me dé por escribir en plan poético, espero que se no me ocurra intentarlo en la lengua de Shakespeare.
